If you have previously had any cardiac tests through the NHS and, your test results were normal, you are not under cardiology care / follow-up, and you are not experiencing any ongoing symptoms, you are welcome to attend a CRY screening if you would like to have an ECG, provided you are aged between 14 and 35.
If you have previously had an ECG at a CRY cardiac screening event and the test results were normal, you are welcome to attend a CRY screening event again if you would like to have another ECG with CRY in the future, if you are between 14 and 35.
At a CRY screening, only an ECG is performed. If any further investigations are required, you would be referred back to your GP. Discussing your symptoms directly with your GP or cardiology team will allow for appropriate assessment and investigation without unnecessary delays.
If you have been diagnosed with a cardiac condition and would like to discuss your treatment plan, this should be done with your cardiology team. Unfortunately, this is not something a CRY doctor would be able to comment or advise on during a CRY screening event.
If you have been seen by a cardiologist, we suggest speaking with the cardiology team if you have any questions regarding your tests, results and any symptoms you are experiencing. If you have previously been assessed by a cardiologist, your test results were normal, you are no longer under cardiology care / follow-up, and you are not experiencing any ongoing symptoms, you are welcome to attend a CRY screening if you would like to have an ECG, provided you are aged between 14 and 35.
Please note that CRY doctors are only able to comment on the ECG performed during the screening. They are unable to review or provide advice on any previous cardiac tests, investigations, or treatment plans. If you have concerns about previous test results or your cardiac health, these should be discussed with your GP or cardiology team.
